A Youth Advisory Council is a body of young teens that works alongside government officials, institutions or organization to advise on issues of public policy or administrative actions which is felt to directly affect young people.
- A youth Advisory Council brings in new ideas to the discussion that the ''adults'' usually have and it provides the teenage perspective,
-It allows teens to voice their opinions on issues they feel are overlooked
-An outlet for youth to put their energy into a safe and positive environment
-Gives the youth go today valuable skills for them to carry well into adulthood
We already have many projects we will start working on such as raising mental health awareness for minorities, a program for troubled teens to stay out of trouble, a program to get youth in business program and many, many more we are hoping to implement In this upcoming year.
- To attend BOE Meetings to better the education system
- To create a better and safer community for our generation and the upcoming ones after us
